KiK to open 100 stores, e-shop on Czech market

KiK is planning to open more than 100 new outlets in the Czech Republic over the next few years as well as an e-shop. The German fashion discounter currently operates 190 shops in the country and wants to boost its network to 300. Existing shops will be modernized and expanded by 30 percent to 550 sqm. Thirty shops were already renovated and an additional 20 are to be modernized before the end of 2016. The retailer hopes to increase revenues to CZK 3bn in 2016. KiK operates an e-shop in Germany and Austria. CEO František Wagner hopes to launch an e-shop for the Czech market within two years.
