Making its debut on the Polish market, Focus Estate Fund acquired the Galeria Sandomierz retail center from Euro Real Estate Investments LLP. The parties agreed to keep the price of the deal confidential, but Jędrzej Suchowolec of C&W said demand for retail centers with dominating positions in Poland’s secondary cities is strong. JLL advised the seller, while C&W acted on behalf of Focus Estate Fund. Opened in 2009, the 4,400 sqm Galeria Sandomierz is currently 97.5 percent leased.
Andriy Kozin, managing partner at Focus Estate Fund, said the company wants to further expand in the CEE region and has set aside €50m for high-yield retail acquisitions in Poland and the Czech Republic over the next two to three years.
