Maxima Bulgaria, the owner of the T-Market chain, will buy or lease a total of 12 Penny Market stores from Rewe Group. The Commission for Protection of Competition authorized the deal. Under the agreement, Maxima Bulgaria will buy three of the locations, and lease the additional nine stores. Rental contracts will be signed for 10 years. The total value of transaction was not reported.
Maxima Bulgaria currently operates 48 stores in 18 cities in Bulgaria, 32 of which are in Sofia.
