Multi to accelerate work on Forum mall in Prešov

26 May 2016

Prešov, the city with least retail space per 1,000 inhabitants in Slovakia (200 sqm), has been attracting increasing attention from developers. Multi Corporation and J&T both have projects underway in the city of 90,000. Mark Seizen, leasing manager for Multi Corporation, told the retail magazine Across that the developer is determined to accelerate work on its Forum shopping center, which is to go up next to the existing Tesco building. With a construction permit for a 16,650 sqm center with 70 units in hand, Multi plans to open the new mall on the city’s main shopping street by the end of 2018. J&T, meanwhile, has plans to build Eperia, a 22,000 sqm center with 95 units, in the city. Trend Reality writes, however, that the developer has not yet touched ground on the site despite plans to open the new shopping mall next year.
