Ikea buys $13m development plot in Jacksonville

Ikea Property has closed on a future development site near the St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville for $13 million. Located on a 25 acre tract of land at Gate Parkway and Interstate 295, the company plans to build a 300,000 sqf store with the possibility to expand it by an additional 30,000 sqf in the future. The facility will boast 1,200 parking spaces and approximately 250 employees. Ikea bought the land from He Otter LLC and He Shoulda Investments LLC.
