Fifty of the largest global cities have risen to the top of the list in the retail expansion strategies in the segments of mass market, premium and luxury. According to the study “Destination Retail” prepared by the international consulting JLL, Lisbon ranks in the 50th position of the global ranking of cities with the greatest attractiveness for retailers internationally expand their brands. Lisbon within the category of “Retail Markets Mature”, the JLL characterized as established markets with strong sales levels and a major national retailer tissue, as well as a broad consumer base and stable growth prospects. Possessing a real estate market transparent retail and international retailers consider to be favorable to entry, differs from the “Global Markets Retail”, such as New York, London or Tokyo.
