Macedonian CPI reading up 0.1% in April

Macedonia’s consumer price index increased in April by 0.1 percent m-o-m, according to the State Statistical Office. The increase was driven by a boost in fresh or chilled fruit (4.8 percent), household liquid fuels and lubricants (5.5 percent), passenger transport (4.9 percent) and package holidays (3.7 percent). However, the April CPI reading fell by 0.7 percent y-o-y.

The country’s retail price index for the month decreased by 0.6 percent y-o-y, but reported an increase of 0.5 percent m-o-m.
