New Europe Property Investments (NEPI) Real Estate Project One, have bought land in Novi Sad for RSD 3.77 billion (€30.6m) with plans to build a shopping mall on the site. NEPI, a South African commercial property investor and developer, outbid Belgrade-based Shopping Center IV for the plot, which had a starting price of RSD 2.5 billion (€20.3m).

NEPI has been active for several years on the Romanian market but has recently been making advances across CEE, including acquisitions in Slovakia, and most recently, in the Czech Republic, where it bought Forum Usti.
