Profi Rom Food plans to continue expanding its supermarket network thanks to a loan of RON177m from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Raiffeisen Bank.
“PROFI’s business plan for the next three years, which is both optimistic and realistic, calls for the opening of at least 100 stores annually,” said Dumitru Dragomir, CFO of Profi Rom Food. “As far as we know, this is probably the most dynamic retail expansion in Europe, and to achieve our goal, we contracted a loan this month,” he said.
Profi’s network currently includes 382 stores operating in 181 cities in Romania.
