The Slovak developer Ivan Líška and the mayor of Bratislava district of Ružinov, Dušan Pekár, are trying to dust off an ambitious project of Yosaria Plaza, a 100,000 sqm shopping center Líška planned to build before crisis. While the mayor may be using the scheme to pick up political points before upcoming elections to the national parliament, Líška is hoping to overcome court battles with creditors, including to the contractor Doprastav. Trend Reality writes that the project was close to being sold off on two occasions, but that Líška now hopes to reach an agreement with the developers Iuris or YIT.
