Deerfield Beach-based Konover South has closed on a 9.8 acre parcel of land in Sunrise for $4.4 million. Located at the southwest corner of Commercial Blvd. and NW 94th Ave. the land is to be used in the construction of the company’s future West Commercial Landings retail center. The plans call for a new WaWa convenience store, 7,500 square feet of inline retail plus two outparcels. The project was designed by Marc Wiener, A.I.A., Boca Raton, with civil engineering provided by Munson Design and Consulting from Coral Springs. The scheme is slated to start this summer with completion set for the first quarter of 2017. John Crotty with Avison Young represented the seller, Capital Bank, during the transaction.
