Avestus Capital Partners takes over Mall Plovdiv

25 February 2016

Real estate investor Avestus Capital Partners took full ownership over Mall Plovdiv in a transaction that was finalized at the end of January. Forton, alliance partner of Cushman & Wakefield for Bulgaria and Macedonia, represented the seller, GE Capital Real Estate. Mall Plovdiv includes 20,000 sqm gross leasable areas with 108 units. It’s currently 100 percent leased.

The project includes a Cinema City multiplex and international and retailers such as H&M, Bershka, New Yorker, Pierre Cardin, Adidas, and Scandal.

“After a series of distressed transactions over the last two years the acquisition of Mall Plovdiv demonstrates that investor interest shifts to the prime end of the market,” said Yavor Kostov, Head of Capital Markets at Forton/Cushman & Wakefield. “We expect that this positive trend will spread to other market segments,” he added.
