Tesco could be offering five shopping centers in the Czech Republic for sale. The retailer has transferred them into separate SPVs. Tesco’s shopping centers in Prague Letňany, in Hradec Králové, Pilsen, Pardubice and in Brno are on offer, as well as land in Šeberov and Letňany. Tesco allegedly plans to sell the stores and lease back space in them. The basic capital of Tesco Stores will decrease from CZK 13.2bn to CZK 3.3bn. A loan worth CZK 6.5bn given by the Tesco Corporate Treasury Services will be also be distributed among five of the eight newly established entities.
