Cushman & Wakefield: German retail market to strengthen further in 2016

23 February 2016

According to Cushman & Wakefield’s latest report, Germany’s retail market continued its steady acceleration at the end of 2015. Demand from international and local retailers continued to gain momentum in the last quarter of the year, with strong interest for larger stores in the most popular and sought-after high street markets as well as in shopping centers. The secondary market is also performing well and seeing increasing occupier demand for the best retail parks and shopping centers. The outlook for Germany’s retail market would appear to be very positive for 2016. C&W is predicting rental growth as well as a rise in property values for prime as well as for secondary retail locations in the coming months.
