Construction started on a new Partkiker store in Plovdiv this week. Located on an 18-acre plot owned by Toplivo JSC on Boulevard Kuklensko, the new store will have a sales area of 6,000 sqm with 706 sqm of storage. Costs are expected to hit €5m.
Videolux Holding, which owns the Technopolis office equipment chain, acquired Praktiker’s Bulgarian network in 2014. The portfolio includes nine hypermarkets: two in Sofia and one each in Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Ruse, Stara Zagora, Pleven and Veliko Tarnovo. Videolux Holding is renovating existing Partkiker stores and has started looking for locations to build new stores. The company recently opened a new Praktiker store in Varna.
