Poland’s minister of finance, Paweł Szałamacha, is reportedly recruiting for someone capable of implementing the the new conservative government’s tax plan. Polish media is speculating that Paweł Gruza is a front-runner for the post. While refusing to comment on the reports, Gruza is said to be in the final stage of talks with the Polish minister to head the new division. Paweł Gruza is said to agree with Szałamacha that best way to improve the country’s tax system is to create a new analysis systems and he’s been a key advisor to the government on a strategy to improve tax collection policy.
Gruza is likely to replace Konrad Raczkowski. Paweł Gruza began his professional career as an advisor at Arthur Andersen and at Ernst & Young. He’s a specialist in tax optimization.
