ECE is set to finish its €31m renovation of Löhr-Center in Koblenz by the beginning of next year. ECE already refurbished the former Globus space in 2015, with the German grocery retailer Rewe (3,500 sqm) and a dm drugstore (800 sqm) opening last fall. Additional modernization work is scheduled for 2016. The entrance at Rosenbrunnen will be completely refurbished. Restaurants with outdoor seating will move to the center’s forecourt, and the mall will be redesigned and modernized.
The Spanish fashion retailer Zara has been named the new anchor tenant and will lease 2,900 sqm on the ground floor. Zara is scheduled to open at the beginning of 2017. Thalia is returning to the center, while Liebeskind Berlin, Tom Tailor, Only, Leo’s and Apollo Optik have signed lease deals. Marc O’Polo, Douglas, Comma, Vero Moda and Jack & Jones, meanwhile, have extended their contracts.
