According to the latest report of the Ministry of Public Works, the average price of urban land in Spain in the third quarter of 2015 was just over тВм156 per sqm, a 5 percent rise from a year ago. In municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, the highest land prices were found in in Madrid (тВм660) and Barcelona (тВм539), while the lowest prices were recorded in Sevilla (тВм128) and Cadiz (тВм141). The number of urban land transactions rose 9.8 percent in the third quarter compared to the previous three months, however it was 2.4 percentage less than those registered in the third quarter of 2014.
