A 31 acre plot located in the center of Plovdiv has being prepared for development, following the relocation of its previous owner, the Kamenica brewery. The plot will be cleared of all the old industrial buildings in the coming months, to make way for new investment. On an adjacent 3 acre plot, Kamenica plans to build on a modern complex including a brewery for craft beer, a museum about the 135-year old brewery, a pub, a recreation area and an open amphitheater for cultural and social events.
However, Kamenica now hopes to find an investor for the remaining 31 acres of land. “We’re looking for not just a buyer for the land, but for an investor with a proven track record who is committed to its full development in a way that’s best for Plovdiv and is still connected to the spirit, history and future of this part of town,” said Charles Anton, CEO of Kamenica.
