Ionut Ardeleanu was named general manager of Auchan Romania. Ardeleanu joined the French retailer in 2006, as a district manager at the Auchan Titan hypermarket. Two years later he was promoted to manager of the store in Timisoara and oversaw the opening of a new location in Craiova.
In 2013, he was named regional manager, responsible for 12 hypermarkets and 4,000 employees. Auchan entered the Romanian market in 2006. Its network currently includes 33 hypermarkets and around 11,000 employees.
