Publix super markets has purchased The Pine Lake Plaza in Cooper City for $12.5 million. Located at 10000 West Griffin Road, the retail center has two buildings covering 115,306 square feet and traded for a little less than $109 per square foot. Publix anchors the plaza, which was built in 1982, while other tenants include Dollar Tree, Subway and MetroPCS. The deal is the latest acquisition for Publix which is part of a $1.3 billion investment campaign that includes real estate acquisitions, renovations and technology upgrades by the end of 2015. Earlier this week, the supermarket chain shelled out $53 million to Federal Realty Investment Trust for another Publix-anchored shopping center in Wellington.
