Mercur Shopping Center Craiova temporarily closed its doors starting with 1st of September 2015 for upgrading works, which had started this month, estimated to last until the middle of next year.
Vitalis Consulting is part of this modernization project by providing Project Management, Cost Management and Fit-Out Services. The U+GF+5F building is a total of 24,000 sq. m.
The works process covers 12,000 sq. m and includes inside – outside modernization for retail space, which consists of refurbishment works, a new modern facade by replacing the old materials, partitioning and modernization of existing commercial galleries, replacing the escalators from the old shopping center and installing new ones in the new building, replacing the elevators for cargo and for people, reconfiguration of interior walls and finishes, changing facilities, cover terrace pedestrian on the western and northern parts of the building, as well as construction of a parking space for 300 cars.
Starting with 2016, Mercur is expected to become the center of fashion and entertainment in the capital of Oltenia, providing to the citizens of Craiova and not only a modern and avant-garde project which will bring a new image to the center of Craiova and brands of international level under one roof.
