Rockaway investment group is buying the companies that offer Mall.cz, the second largest Czech e-shop, and the price comparison hub Heureka.cz for €200m (CZK 5.4bn). The acquisition of the operating companies, Netretail Holding and Naspers, is being financed by Czech billionaires Daniel Křetínský and Patrik Tkáč and the PPF investment group. It’s expected to create a group with CZK 12bn in annual revenues. The deal must still be approved by the antimonopoly office. The owner of Rockaway, Jakub Havrlant, hopes the acquisition will open way for his company to become an e-commerce leader in the CE region. Rockaway already has a stake in the electronic e-shop CZC.cz and other eshops.
