PKP selling Galeria Katowicka

Polish State Railways (PKP) is selling its stake in Galeria Katowicka, with the deal expected to close by the end of October, according to ISBnews. Worth €250m, Galeria Katowicka is a joint venture between Neiver, PKP and Meyer Bergman. The center offers 53,000 sqm of space. No further details were disclosed.

This is the second property PKP offloaded in the last couple of years, following the sale of Poznań City Center. ECE Prime European Shopping Centre and Resolution Property acquired the retail project from PKP, Europa Capital and Trigranit.

PKP’s deputy CEO, Jarosław Bator, said the company is final talks to launch the Warszawa Główna project. Worth €700m, the project will add 150,000 sqm of commercial, office and residential space to the Warsaw market. Construction is expected to begin within the next three years. Immofinanz Group is set to take over the project from PKP. A deal expected to be signed by the end of the year, according to Bator.
