Arquitonica chosen for North Miami Beach scheme

CK Holding Group and Prive Land Banking have acquired a 2.2-acre site for $23.5 million in North Miami Beach. The plan for the property, located at 16301 Biscayne Blvd and 2355 N.E. 163rd Street, is for a high-density, mixed-use development but no plans have been released yet. The site, which currently has a 11,342-square-foot building, last traded in September 2014 for $16.5 million. The new owners hired Miami-based architectural firm Arquitectonica to come up with plans for the scheme.

North Miami Beach amended the zoning for much of the city this year to increase the density and encourage mixed-use development. The area at Northeast 163rd Street and Biscayne Boulevard could permit buildings of up to 30 stories. The size for the new development has yet to be disclosed.
