Romania’s National Tax Administration Agency (ANAF) is auditing several shopping centers and hypermarkets across the country, including AFI Cotroceni, Unirea Shopping Center, Iulius Mall Timisoara, Iulius Mall Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest Mall, Plaza Romania. It is also reported to be taking a closer look at retailers like Peek & Cloppenburg, Billa, Cora and Bricostore.
ANAF inspectors are checking financial balance sheets, the accuracy of the financial data and if taxes have been paid to the state.
