Warren Buffett’s Dairy Queen (DQ) chain will make its Polish debut in September, in Warsaw’s Wola Park retail center. The first store will open in Warsaw, with 25 more planned across the country. Dairy Queen is teaming with long-time franchise partner Sparrow 4, which will be in charge of developing the chain ahead of further expansion in the CEE region.
Andrzej Uryga, CEO of Sparrow 4 told Puls Biznesu “We expect to open 10 new restaurants by the end of the year, using our our resources. After that we’ll start considering to use franchises,” he added. Sparrow 4 is owned by the Bastion Venture Fund, which specializes in real estate and technology investments.
