Johan Åberg, general director of KappAhl AB, was let go by the company’s board of directors. Anders Düring, KappAhl’s CFO, will replace Åberg until a new CEO is appointed.
“Johan Åberg had put much effort into increasing the company’s efficiency over the past few years. However, KappAhl’s board of directors has made a decision to dismiss him from the position in an effort to achieve long-term goals, which require a new top management team with more extensive experience in the sector,” Anders Bülow, chairman of the KappAl board, said.
Introduced in 1953, KappAhl is a leading clothing brand on the Scandinavian market. The company operates 400 stores in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Poland.
