Six hotel operators to enter Polish market

7 April 2015

Six new hotel operators are preparing to enter the Polish market, with plans to add 15 new hotels to the country’s regional cities in the coming years, according to JLL. The operators are reportedly targeting Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Gdańsk and Poznań, where many of them plan to develop two-, three- and four-star schemes, though two of the projects will be five-stars.

“It’s the second wave of investments seen in this sector in the past three years, following EURO 2012,” says Daniel Puchalski, head of JLL’s land department, adding that the projects developed them have encouraged new investments in the sector. “We’re currently observing increasing activity from international investors, who are looking for new land acquisitions for their hotel projects.”
