Apollo-Rida is set to expand the Skałka retail center in Tychy. The expansion will add 36,000 sqm of new retail space to the local market in 90 units. As a part of the investment, Apollo-Rida will also redevelop the road system for the area and add a new amphitheater to the city. While a general contractor has not been named, the investor expects to start work on the project in the first half of the year, with completion set for the fourth quarter of 2016. JLL is overseeing the leasing process.
The expansion will replace the site’s Auchan and OBI stores. Rafał Nowicki, CEO of Apollo-Rida, says the project is already attracting much attention from potential tenants. “This will be the first large-scale retail project for this city of 125,000 residents,” he says.
