Auchan revealed that it took over Romania’s Real network from Metro Group for €257m. The 2012 deal included 20 hypermarkets as well as space occupied by a number of stores and commercial galleries. Auchan finished remodeling and rebranding the stores last year. Auchan’s Romanian network now includes 32 hypermarkets in 18 cities.
