The Růže department store in Prague 11 is being demolished to make way for the next extension of Centrum Chodov. The retail building that looked old long before its newer competition was ever built had been partially leased out to an odd assortment of marginal stores in recent years. In its place the investor Unibail-Rodamco plans to build a new multiplex cinema, additional shopping space and a new restaurant center. The surface level parking will also disappear, however new underground spaces will be built to provide the necessary capacity.
