Poland’s top wholesaler Eurocash has reportedly initiated talks on additional acquisitions in the retail sector. Kamil Szlaga of Trigon brokerage house says the group has proven that it is able to generate synergy for the entire sector after taking over Delikatesy Centrum, CEDC and Tradist. “Last year saw key players looking for new concepts, some kind of startups,” says Szlaga. “These businesses have great potential and could develop in an impressive pace in the coming years, but there’s a risk it’s not going to happen.”
