Publix buys The Shops at Verandah in Fort Myers

Publix Supermarkets Inc. has purchased The Shops at Verandah in Fort Myers for $14.4m from Continental Realty Corp. based out of Baltimore. Publix is an anchor tenant at the 72,795 square foot center. The five parcels surrounding the center (occupied by Wells Fargo, Regions Bank, 7-Eleven, Walgreens, and First bank) were not included in the sale according to a statement released by Continental. Built in 2005, The Shops at Verandah was developed by Bonita Bay Group as part of a 1,500 acre golf course community called Verandah.
