Leine Centre located in Laatzen, a suburb of Hanover, secured BREEAM Excellent certification. The property is part of the CBRE European Shopping Centre Fund (ESCF). This is the first time a shopping center on the German market has been awarded with a BREEAM Excellent certificate. Leine Centre was originally opened in 1973 and then recently expanded in 2011. It covers 28,161 sqm. Retailers include H&M, Deichmann, Expert, DM, Adler and Douglas.
“This is a fantastic achievement for the center. It is great that the hard work of CBRE Global Investors Green Team, our property manager ECE and our consultant Cushman & Wakefield have been recognised by this ‘excellent’ status,” said Florencio Beccar, ESCF fund manager.
