Hungary has turned back on the natural gas pipeline that sends fuel to Ukraine, having blocked exports to that country since late September. The Wall Street Journal reports that the pipeline was opened now that the country’s reserve tanks are topped up again. Eyebrows were raised when Hungary stopped contractual shipments not least because of the warm relationship Hungary’s PM Viktor Orban has cultivated with Russian boss Vladimir Putin. In 2014, Ukraine imported 600 million cubic meters of gas from Hungary.
