Lukoil’s Hungarian operations sale approved

3 November 2014

The Hungarian anti-monopoly office has given the go-ahead to the sale by Russian-based Lukoil of its 75 gas stations in the country to Norm Benzinku, a local company. It’s part of a larger reduction in its Central European activities for Lukoil, which announced further sell-offs over the summer. Lukoil is selling 44 stations in the Czech Republic to Slovnaft, which is run by the Hungarian oil and gas company MOL. The buyer is a joint venture between two Hungarian-based oil wholesale traders, Benzcur and Imfa.
