NEPI in talks to buy Promenada mall

23 September 2014

NEPI, one of the largest real estate investors in Romania, is in talks to buy the Promenada shopping center in a deal worth €150m.
“We are in the process of due diligence for the acquisition of Promenada,” Martin Slabbert, NEPI’s CEO. “We are one of the investors interested in this project, but NEPI has sufficient financial resources to buy Promenada. We are hoping to finalize the takeover as soon as possible, but it does not only depend on us. It depends on the seller.”
The Promenada shopping center opened in Bucharest last October. It is the last phase of the Floreasca City project, an investment worth €300m, which also includes two office buildings. NEPI owns Ploiesti Shopping City, City Park Constanta, Bucharest Vulcan Strip Mall and Mega Mall.
