Ardis plans to add a smaller shopping center to the Tesco hypermarket on the outskirts of Dunajská Streda. The developer recently submitted a change to the project’s documentation that would make it more of a retail park. Ardis plans to construct a ground-level building with a covered opened mall and separate units. The project will offer 5,500 sqm of retail space and 170 parking spots. The developer wants to target discount retailers and restaurants as potential tenants and believes it will be able to lease and build at least the first phase.
Ardis started developing the 12 ha zone before the crisis together with the owner of the land Dron – Nehnutelnosti. The crisis forced the developer to downsize the project and develop the zone in phases.
