Arcon Group, which produces building materials, posted a turnover of €38m in 2013. Exports reached €4.7m, up 30 percent from 2012. Arcon’s two factories located in Sfantu Gheorghe and Bragadiru, brought in profits totaling €2.2m in 2013. Arcon Group is Romania’s main supplier of waterproofing membranes, but company representatives said export competition is high. Ioan Titeiu, the company’s general manager, said Arcon remained focused on cutting losses last year.
