The occupancy level at River Plaza Mall, the only shopping center owned by Sonae Sierra in Romania, dropped from 81 percent in 2013 to 75 percent this year. The mall also saw a decrease in footfall last year, dropping from 6.2 million in 2012 to 3.4 million in 2013, according to Sonae Sierra. Meanwhile, retailers at the Ramnicu Valcea mall posted €13.3m in revenues last year, down 28.6 percent from 2012. Sonae Sierra, in partnership with Caelum Development, started work this year on Parklake Plaza. Located in Titan, the commercial center will offer 70,000 sqm of leasable space. Completion is set for 2016.
