Romania’s land market is expanding, according to a recent report by Colliers International. Real estate analysts estimate that the number of property deals will increase this year, though prices continue to fall due to surplus supply. Sanziana Oprea, a senior associate at Colliers International Romania said land prices are expected to stabilize for one to two years, and that her company had brokered €100m in land deals in Romania over the past three years. The biggest of the transactions was the sale of the 10 ha of land under the old Aversa factory in Bucharest’s Obor market area for €17.3m.
