Mega Image, one of the largest food retailers in Romania, plans to build a distribution center in Bucharest to support its expansion plans, said Frans Muller, the company’s CEO. The new center will also help reduce the cost of goods. Mega Image Group already operates a logistics warehouse in the town of Popesti Leordeni (Ilfov County). The new logistics center is expected to be operational by 2016, according to Xavier Piersvaux, general director of Mega Image. The company posted a €10.5m profit in 2012.
