The retailer Profi appointed Carmen Bokor director of human resources. Bokor has extensive experience in human resources and retail, having worked both in Romania and Hungary as a recruitment officer, a human resources manager and a hypermarket manager. Bokor graduated from Budapest’s Superior School of Foreign Trade.
Profi currently has more than 4,000 employees in Romania but plans to bump its workforce up to 5,000 by the end of the year, according to Pawel Musial, the retailer’s general manager. The announcement comes after the company said it will invest some €18m to open 45 new regional stores in 2013.
The retailer currently has 150 stores in its Romanian network. Profi is owned by Enterprise Investors, a private Polish company.
