The Prague City Council is planning to buy CZK 40m worth of land that would allow for the completion of the Vysocanska arterial road. This vital transport artery has yet to be completed because of the missing pieces of land, whose owners have held out on the sale despite negotiations dating back to 2006. The rest of the road was completed in 2011. The city is also preparing to purchase land needed to complete the huge Blanka Tunnel complex but this will require outlays of hundreds of millions of crowns.
