WSE sees slight gains at Thursday’s opening

The European markets stagnated Wednesday, with just slight gains reported since the beginning of the week. The Warsaw Stock Exchange saw a 0.19 percent gain at today’s opening, after closing Wednesday’s trading with a gain of just 0.06 percent. WSE’s WIG index has lost 1 percentage point so far this week, while the blue chips index increased by just 0.19 percent before Wednesday’s closing, coming in at 2567.59 points.
Investors are waiting on data regarding consumer inflation rates in France, which are set to be released today, as well as output levels in the French manufacturing sector. A decision from the European Central Bank on interest rates is also expected today and could impact the markets.
