Warsaw’s Plac Defilad square is set to go on sale in the near-term, the daily Puls Biznesu reports. The 8,000 sqm of space along Marszałkowska and Złora streets has been a tempting morsel for investors for years. Warsaw City Hall said the tender for the land will be announced next year.
“At this stage, the precise date has not yet been set, but the bidding will last two months,” said Agnieszka Kłąb, a spokesperson for Warsaw City Hall. “We started with Plac Defilad, as its legal status is clear,” said Kłąb, adding that Warsaw’s authorities hope this first sell-off will interest investors in future tenders.
