WinePoint, owned by FDP Corporation, opened its first outlet at the Varyada shopping center in Karlovy Vary at the beginning of November. Two other outlets are scheduled to open at Bondy Centrum in Mladá Boleslav and Centrum Černý Most in Prague. FDP plans to target regional shopping centers. “We plan to open our wine shops in well established shopping malls with sufficient footfall. We will focus on 60 sqm units,” said Jindřich Robek, the WinePoint CEO. The concept was designed by the international architectural studio A-ETC Prague Tokyo. By establishing WinePoint, FPD has shown an interest in diversifying its activities. The financial group, led by Anton Siekel, is also involved in property investment and development.
