Vasile Armenean, owner of the ice cream company Betty Ice, bought a building on Lipscani Street in Bucharest with plans to open a new shop there by 2014.
The 480 sqm building, which includes a basement, ground floor and first floor, will be remodeled. Armenean also has Betty Ice shops in the cities of Sibiu, Oradea, Brasov and Cluj. He said he would like to have a total of 10 ice cream shops operating in Romania within the next four to five years.
The company posted a 10-percent increase in sales this year compared with 2011.
