The cheapest residential plots of land can be found in areas surrounding big cities, according to a survey conducted by the news server imobiliare.ro.
The survey looked at properties put up for sale between September and October in towns and villages near Bucharest, Braşov, Constanţa and Timişoara and found the average price of land went for around €10,000.
For instance, land in Măgurele, a village near Bucharest, was selling for €44 per sqm, while land in Buftea, also located near the capital, was selling for €48 per sqm, and land in Bragadiru was averaging €65 per sqm. Meanwhile, in the town of Chitila, land was selling for €71 per sqm.
The most expensive plots of land near the capital were located in Otopeni, where the average price per sqm was €116. A 400 sqm plot located in the Odăi area was selling for €20,000 or €55 per sqm.
In Braşov county, plots were averaging €10 per sqm, according to the survey, while in the towns surrounding Constanţa, the average prices per sqm, ranged between €29 and €164.
Land prices near Timişoara ran between €19 per sqm and €45 per sqm.
